The incumbent may perform a variety of manual tasks and assist in skilled and semi-skilled tasks under the overall supervision of the Park Manager 2 in charge of Niagara Falls State Park Maintenance. Duties will include:
o Routine activities such as building and grounds maintenance/inspection, cleaning, loading/unloading vehicles, operation and basic maintenance of equipment (self-propelled, power driven and vehicles). o Upkeep and repair of park furnishings, road/path repair and mowing. o May assist in skilled and semi-skilled tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, mechanical repair and landscape maintenance. o Assist as directed during emergencies, traffic control and crowd control. o During winter months, the incumbent will assist with snow and ice removal which will include shoveling and operation of snow removal equipment/vehicles. o Perform over-the-rail work such as trash pick-up and mowing, as well as supervise any staff assisting with over-the-rail work. o Supervise 3-4 seasonal employees to accomplish needed tasks within the park. o Assign, supervise, review, train and evaluate assigned housekeeping staff. o Issue work assignments, ensure they have been satisfactorily completed, and assist with performance evaluations and scheduling.

Salary Range:
From $37507 to $46103 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Two years' experience in the operation and/or maintenance of a park, historic site, or recreational facility; OR two years' experience as a trades assistant under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson, or completion of an appropriate two-year technical/trades school course.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
